Old African Dan Mask - Côte d'Ivoire - Professor's Estate!<br>Old and antique wooden mask from the Dan Tribe of Cote d'Ivoire and Liberia.  This was part of a group of old African masks, from a College Professor's estate. Very expressive mask, with squinted eyes and mouth that appears to be speaking. Thickly carved from a heavy, dense wood. Definitely shows it's age, with several old, large chips on the rear.  Previous owner's collection number<br>(O47-E)<br>on rear of mask<br>(see last photo).<br>Old loss on rear, upper part of mask does not detract.<br>Please examine photos carefully for condition.<br>Purchased at auction years ago, this is part of my personal collection I am selling to downsize.
