  • Condition: The radio receiver is in normal antique and cosmetic condition, turns on, lights up, emits a characteristic noise. There are minor paint scratches on the top front and rear bottom edges of the case. I am not able to fully check the operability, since there are no such radio waves in our country. The back cover and the display are most likely installed non-original (please see the photo). Beautiful radio for collection or decoration.

    Description

Antique Soviet Tube Radio Resiver VEF Baltika USSR Wooden 1950s rare
Lamp radio receiver Baltika RZ-1, manufactured at the VEF plant in 1951. The model is a six-lamp second class, rated output power is at least 2 W, it consumes 70 from the mains. Its own audio system operates in the frequency range from 100 to 4000 Hz. The body is made of wood with plywood elements. The dimensions of the receiver are 560x360x280. Weight - 15 kg.
The chassis is the supporting part. On the front panel there are dual controls: on the left there is a small knob for adjusting the volume and a switch, a large one switches the tone, a small one on the right for tuning, and a large one switches ranges and turns on the ULF input. The scale contains 4 ranges plus one auxiliary line. On the back of the receiver are sockets for an external speaker, ground, antenna, and a mains switch. This particular specimen has preserved the original paint of the case, which in itself is a rarity for such rare devices.
