ORIGINAL 1920s OLD TRADE - ADVERTISING CARD
ST. JAMES PALACE LONDON
Charles I, most of whose
children were born in this
palace, spent his last days
here and walked hence to
his execution. After 1698
when Whitehall was
burned down, it became
the official residence of the
sovereign and the British
court is still the Court of
St. James. The Royal
Levees are still held here.
